Unfortunately his time was up in Ottawa.  He completely lost his confidence.  I don't think finishing up the year and starting anew next season would have made much difference.  With a new coach this season, this was the year for him to show his potential.

Pan said it perfectly in a recent show.  He was trying to play to not make a mistake and was not comfortable out there.  When he did make a mistake, he just gripped his stick even tighter. 

Making the team in his 1st year was obviously a mistake.  I think a big reason he made the team was his infectious attitude and enthusiasm. Everyone just loved the kid.  He should have been playing top line minutes back in junior then a season with the B Sens instead of 3rd/4th line minutes.

I hope he finds his game in Calgary.

 All that's true about Av's, that's what makes these games terrible if Ottawa falls behind against this putrid bunch
