Just had the most annoying grumpy old man delivery driver ever.
My complex is a bit confusing, I know that... I'm in a townhouse, but the only way to get to me is through the secure door in one of the apartment towers. You have to go through the lobby and through another door to the hallway that lets you into the townhouses.
So, on every single delivery order I get, I put "From the lobby, take the door past the elevators, and follow the hallway to the right"
98% of people can understand that. This guy.... buzzes me from the front, and then doesn't show up, doesn't show up.... finally my phone rings, it's him... he's lost in the lobby. I tell him he needs to go through the door and to the right. He says that just goes to the mailboxes. Sigh.
I say "the door past the elevators". He says "I guess you don't really want this food, do you? That door says Exit"
Argues with me on the phone for another minute, keeps just saying "I guess you just don't want this food".... like I'm the one being obtuse here.
Finally he hangs up on me.... and then shows up at my door a minute later. Starts yelling at me that the instructions aren't clear to HIM, that the door says exit, so that means it's the way out of the building.... wow
I'm guessing he didn't get much of a tip. was this one of your regular order places? You're also probably no the only person ordering food, so they should know it by now
I've never seen this driver before, so I'm guessing he's new... but it's not MY fault he can't read plain english. lol
